How do you build a successful platform that helps entrepreneurs and startups to raise funding? What makes some startups successful when raising crowd funding compared to those who fail. How do you democratize investing in startups?
These were some of the questions for the founder of one of the largest Crowdfunding platforms in New Zealand. For this episode I interviewed Simeon Burnett. Simeon is the Managing Director and Cofounder of Snowball Effect. Snowball Effect is New Zealand's leading private equity investment marketplace. They launched New Zealand’s first equity crowdfunding offer in August 2014, and have since facilitated more investment in New Zealand than all other equity crowdfunding marketplaces together (over 70% market share).
In this episode I also ask Simeon about his latest startup Orchestra.co.nz which is a fintech SaaS product.
