About SPIN AR SCOIL
SPIN AR SCOIL is a one-stop shop for Leaving Cert Students. Each week we focus on one core Leaving Cert Subject with the help of a subject experts and special guests! How best to achieve your grades from home? Tips and tricks to acing the exam paper or accumulating the best-calculated grades. (Subject experts include teachers who create, examine and correct Leaving Cert papers for the Dept. of Education, authors of Leaving Cert textbooks and specialist grinds teachers.) The show follows the journey of four Leaving Cert students across the next eight weeks. Caillum Hedderman (John the Baptist Community College, Hospital Co. Limerick) David Wright (Lucan Community College, Dublin), Sarah Clarke (Castleknock College, Dublin) and Aoife Ní Riain (Laurel Hill Coláiste, Limerick). Practical exams and Orals are complete, Date for CAO change of mind is on the horizon and students are on the final countdown to their written Leaving Cert exams! This week one of SPIN's favourite subjects is up for discussion... MUSIC! Music State Examiner and Teacher Ciara Gold, looks ahead to the written Music exam in June, Ciara has some top tips for students ahead of the exam and how they can best maximise their results.
At this point students are on the final countdown, following the Easter break oral examinations and practical are complete. We discuss Home Ec and Ag Science, we also chat about proposed strike action and hear from the student's perspective. State examiner teacher and AG lecturer Dr. Keir McNamara talks about Ag Science as a share some advice for students finalising their project work and sitting the written paper in June.
