Last Call: Special Series Dedicated to the Covid-19 Crisis
Jaeki spoke with Madison Bondoc, leader of a volunteer 3D printing chapter in Washington DC called e-NABLE DC, about the 3D printed face shields they are supplying to frontline healthcare workers to hospitals like Elmhurst Hospital in Queens, NY. When many hospitals are faced with a shortage of PPE, 3D printing communities, including e-NABLE, turned on their 3D printers to fill a urgent need. Using a NIH approved open source face shields file, e-NABLE has been producing face shields around the clock. As of the release of this episode they have delivered over 2000 shields to 59 healthcare facilities across 10 states. Tune in to learn more about the potential of 3D printing to change the way we live!
