While 2020 was rough for a lot of people, those with existing mental health issues had to navigate their pre-existing conditions with the uncertainty of where the world was, and still is today. In December 2020, Allan Ibutiti wrote this thread on twitter about what his mental health looked like in the madness of the pandemic and lockdown while also trying to figure out his career. On this episode, Allan takes me through his days in uni when he first started to struggle and the years between where he had no idea what was going on to his subsequent diagnosis a couple of years ago.
Trigger Warning: This episode contains themes of suicide and there are some in depth descriptions of manic and depressive episodes, as well as other bipolar-related symptoms.
