[EDITOR'S NOTE: In addition to being a really special episode for me already in that it features one of my all-time best personal friends, and also includes a really fun, really touching extended conversation between us at the end of the episode (which we're somewhat euphemistically calling an "interview"), or even for the episode featuring an "SM7B vs Podmic" mic comparison by way of the intro / outro [SM7B] vs "interview" [Podmic], which is the kinda stuff that I really geek (even if very few others do), perhaps most special of all for me is that this episode will also go down in history as being the very last episode of NNR ever to be produced by a non-confirmed autistic person. Though this episode is releasing AFTER my diagnosis, it was recorded and produced PRIOR, and therefore, all the both scripted and unscripted dialog was had from the perspective of someone who only THOUGHT he was autistic, as opposed to the person who now KNOWS he is. Both my side of the conversation, and my friend's side were each occurring from within "the suspension of the pending", from the absence of certainty. Now, in retrospect, it turns out we were right. But we didn't KNOW that at the time. So to hear everything that is said from within that paradigm, especially knowing from hindsight how it all plays out, to me, at least, makes it all feel so precious, and gives it, I dunno, something of a sense of innocence, I guess. And that, along with all the other aspects mentioned above make this a very, VERY special episode for me. Hopefully you'll agree! -St. John]
