Jac with No K talks about being a working musician, songwriting techniques and cheese steaks (+more!)
Jac with No K (Jac Carson) is a Philadelphia-based singer-songwriter who came to Philly for college at Temple and stuck around, joining the group Saint Wilde, where he played guitar for several years. Now he's doing his own alt-blues project, and has just put out two EPs in the past two months -- House Show Dreamboat, released in June 2019, and Songs for a Long Drive Home - released in July 2019.
We talked about his songwriting processes, the inspiration behind some of his songs, like "Jenna Please" and "From a Singer to a Worried Mother," how he likes his cheese steaks and where he prefers to get them, love and relationships... as well as the fact he saved up money to take a year to try to make it as a working musician! Find out more about Jac, his family, some of his favorite local artists and favorite live bands to watch!
