PSRL 10/08 Hull FC vs Wakefield Trinity - Highlights
Highlights from the K-COM Stadium in Hull as the hosts met Wakefield in the opening round of the Super 8s. Recent history suggested that the Black and Whites should be weary, having lost by a massive 72 - 10 scoreline at Trinity a few weeks ago. in this contest where quality was in short supply we saw Wakefield's second half of the season form continue as they came back into the contest in a much-livelier second half, despite FC's try midway through the second period. Wakefield will take this win into their meeting with St. Helens next weekend, while Hull travel to Super League's definitive form side Huddersfield - who beat Saints while this game was underway. Final score: Hull FC 13 - 31 Wakefield Trinity Commentary by Craig Murdock and Garry Schofield

After a busy weekend of Rugby League, we're back, and so is Schoey as we discuss the great performance from Catalans Dragons to make it to the Challenge Cup Final. They'll meet Warrington at Wembley as they dispatched a lackluster Leeds side, but it's not all doom and gloom for the Rhinos, as the women won the Challenge Cup against Castleford, and Bradford won the Shield over Stanningley, we talk where is next for the women's game and much, much more as we're in quite a positive mood...
Proper Sport Rugby League - PSRL Podcast - 30/7/2018
Twitter's "Mr Controversial" Rod Studd was here to discuss all the latest comings and goings in the world of Rugby League as the 8s are settled, the Challenge Cup semi-finals are coming and Leeds take on Castleford in the Women's Challenge Cup Final at the weekend. All that, and much more as John Davidson joins us as well to make two hours fly by...
PSRL 27/07 Huddersfield Giants vs Wakefield Trinity - Highlights
More live Rugby League commentary on Proper Sport, and once again we were live from the John Smith's Stadium, home of one of the form teams in the competition, Huddersfield Giants. Visitors Wakefield Trinity, another side who confirmed their Super 8s spot and Super League survival last weekend, were entering the contest having taken Hull FC apart last weekend, but knocking a Huddersfield side who beat Cas Tigers away last Friday evening would prove too much of an ask... Giants raced into a two try lead before Wakefield got themselves going. However, the game was arguably beyond them before the close of the first half as the 30 - 10 scoreline looked daunting. Despite three late converted tries for Wakfefield, this game belonged to Huddersfield, who continue the remarkable honeymoon period under Simon Woolford. Their sixth win in seven to close out the regular season will perhaps bring them out of the shadows even more, they really are flying. Jermaine McGilvary was again a hot shot performer with a hat-trick, but Danny Brough was excellent too, with precise kicking to finish 6/7 Final score: Huddersfield Giants 40- 28 Wakefield Trinity Commentary by Mark Walker and Garry Schofield
Proper Sport Rugby League Podcast - 23/7/18
No Schoey this week, so our favourite Aussie John Davidson joined us to talk Rugby League on Proper Sport, with plenty to talk about as Hull FC get stuffed at Wakefield meaning Leeds will play in the Qualifiers, but we still don't know who against as the top four race hots up. Plus, Salford are asking for your money to sign players, we keep an update on the total...
PSRL 20/07 Castleford Tigers vs Huddersfield Giants - Highlights
In a game expected to be ultra competitive between two in-form sides, we were treated to nine tries, lead changes & a comeback as Huddersfield Giants showed perhaps they wanted this one that bit more than their hosts from along the M62. Jermaine McGillvary grabbed the Man of the Match award as his three four-pointers helped settle this game, which in both the early stages and as the first half closed out, looked like it Castleford's to lose. It's three wins in a row now for Giants, and despite an off-night for Danny Brough, who missed three straight attempts to add the extras during a period of early second-half domination from the away side, Huddersfield's supporters will only remember this as the night that secured their Super League status for another year. While Giants will head towards the split in terrific form, Castleford have now lost comprehensively to two sides below them all season in the past month, so they'll hope to put that aside next week at Widnes. Another takeaway from this positive period for Giants is the remarkable impact of Simon Woolford, who has certainly proved the naysayers wrong since arriving in the home of rugby league to replace the sacked Rick Stone. The Australian has led the once-relegation-threatened Giants into the Super 8s! Commentary in this game was by Richard Shaw-Wright & Garry Schofield.

Ralph is in at the RFL, and your verdicts are too. There's some action on the field too, both involving men and women, people are injured, some are on the move, and much more. Plus, Gavin Willacy talks his book "No Helmets Required" and there's a chance to win a copy.
PSRL 12/07 - Huddersfield Giants vs Wigan Warriors - Highlights
As the split for the Super 8s edges that bit closer, Huddersfield welcomed Super League's second-placed side Wigan to the John Smith's Stadium with the Giants hoping for a second home win in a row & Warriors looking to keep the pressure on runaway leaders St. Helens. Huddersfield had the better of Wigan from the off as McIntosh bagged another brace and the home side's defence kept Wigan at bay. A frantic first half was enough for Simon Woolford's men, who controlled the second period, only needing the one four pointer before the cherry and whites managed a late consolation. The only concern for Giants may be an off night of kicking for Danny Brough but Huddersfield will be much more focused on their impressive form in the season's twilight that leaves them comfortable in the top eight, level on points with sixth-placed Catalans. Proper Sport's commentary team of Mick Gledhill and Garry Schofield brought you the action in this lively affair. Final score: Huddersfield Giants 20 - 12 Wigan Warriors

Leeds are STILL in crisis as we work out what Kev and Lowesy will be doing to turn the good ship Rhinos around, praise Cas for their win, and look back on a weekend with plenty of twists and turns in the races to get into the top four, and avoid the bottom. Toronto win an RFL Ashtray for topping the Championship, and there's some big results in the Championship and League One to discuss too...
PSRL 0807 - Castleford Tigers vs Leeds Rhinos - Highlights
A much-anticipated meeting of these West Yorkshire rivals as Leeds headed to the Mend-a-Hose Jungle with legendary former player now installed to lead the Rhinos from the touchline hoping to end a slide that's seen them drop into the bottom four of the Betfred Super League table. The game began at rapid pace as Rhinos took the lead through Briscoe, but after Cas got started - leading 16-10 at the break - it became a one-sided affair, with both Sene-Lefao & Trueman scoring twice in the second half. Castleford's 42 - 10 win keeps them well on track for a top four berth, while Rhinos will have to dig deep to find a crucial win. Perhaps the two big losses they've suffered against Cas between Magic Weekend and today will be the bookends to this difficult patch as they look ahead to Friday's tie with Wakefield at Headingley
PSRL 05/07 - Huddersfield Giants vs Hull FC - Highlights
Kicking off Round 20 of the Betfred Super League season were these two sides who both have different ambitions heading into the split. The home side were looking to recover from their loss at fellow strugglers Hull KR, while FC entered the evening poised to leap into the top four should the likes of Castleford or Warrington slip up. As it happened, the Giants ran out comfortable winners, with three first half tries and a solid defensive effort keeping the Black and Whites at bay. The result puts 'crisis club' Leeds Rhinos into the bottom at the expense of the delighted winners. FC remain fifth, so the sides may well meet again in the Super 8s... Bringing you the action from the John Smith's Stadium was Richard Shaw-Wright, who was joined by 'The Legend' Garry Schofield.

PSRL Live - St. Helens v Wakefield Trinity 29/06 - Highlights
Proper Sport's Rugby League came from the Totally Wicked Stadium, home of the long-time Super League leaders for their clash against Trinity, one of only two sides to get the better of them so far this campaign. After cruising to a decent lead at half-time, the second-half was much tougher for Saints, as Wakefield scored four tries in a row early on, before Saints re-gained their lead & clung on for a final score of 34 - 30.
Highlights: Wigan Warriors v Leeds Rhinos 28/06/2018
On a midsummer evening when England were playing their final World Cup group fixture against Belgium, two of Super League's biggest clubs went head to head hoping to put recent negative results behind them. It was Wigan who came out on top, convincingly dominating the Rhinos after overcoming an early Leeds try by Ferres. Final score: Wigan Warriors 46 - 8 Leeds Rhinos
