If you're an avid turkey hunter but consider yourself as just a semi-avid podcast listener you've probably heard of my next guest, "The Wild Turkey Doc". Dr. Mike Chamberlain.
That's how poplar "doc" is in the turkey world. In fact, the day Doc and I recorded this podcast I was his 3rd podcast of the day and 5th for the week. And rightfully so. His level of knowledge, dedication, and enthusiasm is unparalleled.
You know when you meet new people and every now and then someone just stands out? You're not sure what it is about them, but it's just different. For me- I'm really interested in people who excel at their craft, whatever it is. I feel if you're one of the best at something, I want to hear what you have to say, as usually people who are at the top of their game articulate their experiences with a passion that you cant fake. That's how I feel about Doc.
When you listen to doc 'talk turkey' you can tell very quickly he has dedicated years, day in and day out of research of something he loves. It's one of the places I feel he finds his peace.
You know they say, find a job you love you'll never work a day in your life. Doc has done just that. And for that, all turkey hunters should be grateful he's pursued his passion. He and his students research has helped many State agencies manage their turkey population for thousands of hunters to enjoy year after year.
With that, this podcast is full of knowledge. We cover a little bit of everything. I hope you enjoy listening to it half as much as I did recording it.
Let me know your thoughts.
