US President Joe Biden drew criticism for taking a "pro-democracy" stance in a recent speech. How many red flags should we be waving? Could (or is) Canada be traveling down that same path, where an unwavering commitment to democratic principles is no longer a given?

And, in an effort to steal support from perceived frontrunner Danielle Smith, UCP leadership hopeful Brian Jean promises no mandatory vaccines in Alberta if he's elected Premier. What percentage of the general population could possibly support such an anti-science stance?
