S3 E47: The Family Stone

The Family Stone is a 2005 comedy, drama, romance directed by Thomas Bezucha. This is the story of Everett stone played by Dermot Mulroney. He is bringing his girlfriend Meredith played by Sarah Jessica Parker to meet his family for the holidays. The Stone family is BIG, and tight nit, and very outspoken. Sybil Stone is the matriarch of the family, that’s Diane Keaton. We have Craig T Nelson playing the father Kelly Stone. Ben Stone is Everett’s younger brother he is played by Luke Wilson. Sussanah Stone and Amy Stone are the two sisters, they are played by Elizabeth Reaser and Rachel McAdams. The youngest brother of the family is Thad Stone, played by Tyrone Giordano, he is also deaf and gay. His partner is Patrick Thomas played by Brian J White, and another key character is Claire Danes, playing Meredith’s sister Julie.

Basically it’s Everett bringing Meredith to meet his family, not all goes to plan and love is found in the most unexpected of places. There’s also a really intense underlying family connectedness storyline.
