Purist

Purists probably have a good and bad name in any arena they exist. A self defined or group defined way of doing things, then equated it to the proper way to do such. There can be varying opinions of purists and the ideas associated with them. In one regard, sometimes they provide a style or way of doing things that preserve the origin of said subject. On the other hand, this "original" idea provides a platform to be overly critical to any advancement or variant to the "original" format.
