Portuguese writer Hugo Gonçalves is once again a guest on our podcast, this time to talk about his latest book “Revolução” (“Revolution”), a story about a family and how they dealt with the changes that occurred after the Portuguese Revolution of April 25th 1974 (also known as the ‘Carnation Revolution’). A period which marked the end of three decades of dictatorship and the birth of Democracy in Portugal.

Tune in to hear why Hugo wanted to write this story and why this topic is so important to him personally. We also talk about this volatile period of Portuguese history, some of its interesting facts and how this remarkable moment shaped Portugal into the country it is today.
