Who doesn't want to be more happy?! Silly question really, but do we ever consider what affect alcohol has on our happiness? Is it holding us back from a more rich and fulfilling life?
Looking back I don't think I was truly happy when I was drinking. And when I wasn't drinking, I would be suffering the affects of heightened anxiety, guilt and the negative physical symptoms that come with drinking.
I would trade a few hours of boozy relief for a day of suffering in a continuous cycle. That's no way to live a happy life.
In this episode I'm thrilled to be joined by John Davidson; a psychotherapist, host of Happiness Hacks podcast and all around lovely guy.
He decided to cut alcohol out of his life 7 years ago and as a result, he completely changed his career and lifestyle to one that is based around both caring for himself and helping others with their mental health.
We cover some fascinating topics including how to swap out alcohol as a coping strategy to something more beneficial and also how to develop other areas of your life alongside your relationship with alcohol.

John also has a brand now programme called YOUniversity which is a 12 month course on living a happier life.
