STORYTELLING
This week I am covering one of my favourite subjects, Storytelling.
I do love a good story, Don’t you? I think most of us have a natural inclination to listen to good stories and they can be a very powerful tool in your content marketing kit.
To introduce the subject I thought it would be appropriate to interview an expert on the subject.
Christoph Trappe is a career storyteller who has worked as a journalist, a nonprofit executive, and a content marketing strategist and consultant.
Based in Iowa in the United States, he is a Keynote speaker, Blogger and the author of a new book called:
Get Real: Telling Authentic Stories for Long-term Success
Summary
- Authenticity is key although true stories will often change with time and this is okay. The basis of the story should always be true.
- Conflict makes stories more interesting.
- Story shopping. The idea that you should always be on the lookout for good stories.
- The best way to start storytelling is to start NOW! Why not try relaying a story in your next LinkedIn publish post?
Please feel free to post your story or story idea in the comments below or drop me a line at mark@winbusinessin.com
Thank you so much for listening. I value your support and interest.
Help me to promote the podcast
It can be difficult to get noticed in iTunes and one thing that can really make a difference is reviews. If you enjoy the show please take a minute to write an honest review in iTunes, it would be most appreciated.
If you are not sure how to write an iTunes review I have made a short video demonstrating how this is done.
