Little Kids: When To Worry About Your Child's Development

Welcome to This Glorious Mess Little Kids. A twice-weekly look at parenting as it really is - confusing, exhausting, inspiring, funny, and full of surprises. So many surprises!

Whether it's motor skills, hearing or speech we usually anticipate that our kids will hit certain development milestones at certain times ... but what if your little one is a missing milestone? 

Whether it's physical, like holding their head up by 3 - 4 months or using five words by 18 months we use milestones as goalposts to make sure our little ones are on the right track. To help understand more about milestones, when we should and shouldn't worry about missing them, we've bought in someone with experience, Ali Gebhardt, Clinical Director and Occupational Therapist At NAPA.
