One of the most interesting challenges in learning a new language is discovering 'false friends,' i.e. words that look similar between two languages but have completely different meanings. This is particularly common between Italian and English, two languages that are similar but have many hidden linguistic traps. In this episode, we explore five false friends between these two languages, trying to avoid embarrassing situations and misunderstandings.
