Mind Wide Open

Welcome to the first episode of Mind Wide Open, a mental health centered podcast created and hosted by Lily Cornell Silver. The series originally launched on what would have been her dad's 56th birthday. Trauma expert Laura Vandernoot Lipsky is a natural first guest as an author, founder of The Trauma Stewardship Institute, and mentor to Lily. Lily and Laura articulately face difficult topics head on; they unpack their own struggles with grief, suicidal ideation, and mental health, setting a tone of radical vulnerability that permeates the rest of the series. Laura also speaks on the "age of overwhelm" that we all live in, racial violence and intergenerational trauma, and how to navigate hardships and crises.
