This week we are chatting about two topics we feel very passionate about.
The first is the US Supreme Courts vote to over turn Roe v Wade. This means the US no longer recognises that a woman has a constitutional right to access an abortion without excessive government interference and is a terrifying step backwards for reproductive rights. It potentially paves the way for abortion to be outlawed.
We also discuss the murder of Chen Cheng, a Melbourne mother of two who was brutality murdered in her home by her husband on the weekend. The Australian media has predictably started to centre the man who did this as a “good guy” and we are absolutely sick of the was this diminishes the horrific acts of violence men perpetrate towards women.
