Toronto native Judy Anderson, educated in public schools like Rosedale and Jarvis Collegiate, pursued a BA at Trinity College, U of T. With a 51-year teaching career, initially in grades 3-5 and later specializing in special education, she retired in 2007 but remains an occasional teacher. Judy observes a decline in academic and behavioral standards post-1990, attributing it to family breakdown and the disastrous ministry, faculties of education, and board policies. She criticizes the public education system for not upholding stated standards, pointing to the absence of a student Dress Code and issues with Health and Safety protocols. At 74, she plans to teach again, skeptical of the board's commitment to "tolerance, diversity, and inclusion," advocating for a return to authentic teaching and mastery of basic skills.
