On our latest episode, we recap our first "Bklyn Combine Day". A socially-distanced, outdoor concert/celebration of community and culture that took place on Friday, August 21, 2020. This live gathering took place in the heart of Bed Stuy at Restoration Plaza, home of the new Black Lives Matter mural on Fulton Street. This special day of community connection was made possible by our partners at Feel Good Friday's, Marlon Rice of Good People NYC and NYC Councilman Robert E. Cornegy, Jr. along with brand sponsor, Super Foodtown.
A very special thanks to our musical guests: Freetown's own, Natasha Beckley, Topaz Jones, and Brooklyn's favorite, Smif N Wessun.
We are the Bklyn Combine, a not-for-profit community organization. We work with schools, community organizations, and dedicated city officials to help provide mentorship, critical education, leadership, and social support programs to youth and young adults in low-income and underserved communities.
Music:
1. Toothache - Topaz Jones
2. Korlay - Natasha Beckley
3. Bucktown 360º - Smif N Wessun
