Have you seen the new Pixar movie Turning Red? Some parents see it as a joyful look at the tween years through the eyes of Mei Lee, a 13 year old who turns into a giant red panda when she feels any strong emotion (bought on by getting her period). Others are worried it might give youngsters some questionable ideas.
Leigh and Tegan discuss their thoughts on the movie, whether it can help kids understand the complexities of puberty, and what age your kids would enjoy it. And if you have thoughts about Turning Red we'd love to hear about in our Parenting Group.
Plus, we hear from OG host of TGM, Andrew Daddo, to get his advice on how to manage the puberty years, as the dad of three adults.
THE END BITS
You can watch Turning Red on Disney Plus.
