Have you ever had that Inner Knowing that it was time for a change? That you couldn’t, and didn’t have to, carry on with things as they were? Perhaps you are even sitting in this place now?
This was absolutely the experience of this weeks guest on the Sensitive Collective Podcast, Nichola Day, yoga teacher, therapist, writer, and speaker.
She went from a successful and stressful career as a Primary School Teacher in the UK, through many cycled loops of over-achieving, people pleasing, and burnout, to the realization that how she was showing up wasn’t sustainable - or even necessary.
While it was not an easy ride to step out of what she thought was going to be her life’s vocation, leaving a profession that didn’t work for her was a soul guided and empowering choice that has absolutely changed her life.
In this week's episode, Nichola shares her journey from sick and tired Primary School Teacher to Healthy and Empowered Yoga Therapist, how yoga supported her on this journey, the role our intuition plays in the evolution and healing of mind-body-spirit, and so much more.
Yoga has saved my life (no exaggeration) and been a safe place for me to return home to throughout my life. Of yoga, Nichola says:
“I want Yoga to be this space where people can access and nurture their power. When I roll out my mat it’s a sense of being home. And home is where you're safe to fully be yourself and come as you are. And that is what I try to create when I practice and teach yoga. A place to come home to. And that’s what Sensitives need.”
If you’ve ever struggled with people pleasing, over achieving, and burnout, and have thought about a change in career, then please join us and hear more about our own experiences with these, allowing them to shine a light on your own. I have a feeling some intuitive bells may sound for you as you listen!
