Should the government reduce tax on rental incomes in the next budget?

Budget 2024 will be unveiled by Michael McGrath and Paschal Donohoe on October 10th.

Among the many other considerations for the government is whether to reduce taxes on rental incomes in an effort to persuade landlords to stay in the market.

But would this work if they did so?
